Venues

Aalborg Live believes that the best experiences occur when music and location come together. That’s why we work closely with a wide range of venues in North Jutland... from traditional concert halls and cultural centers to new and unexpected settings that have never before served as a stage for music.

We have no fixed locations - instead, we activate existing places throughout the region and find new uses for spaces that would otherwise remain empty. This gives us the freedom to match each concert or event with the right venue, whether it’s an intimate concert in unique surroundings or a large event with room for thousands of guests.

The result is experiences that cannot be found anywhere else, created in collaboration with some of North Jutland's most prominent venues.

Voergaard Slot

Voergaard Slot

The beautiful Voergaard Castle holds a very special place in Aalborg Lives' consciousness. The castle exudes both old stories and new tales, and when the audience arrives, it is with the experience that "this is a good place to be."

Voergaard Castle is located right by the motorway, just 30 minutes from Aalborg, 20 minutes from Frederikshavn, and 40 minutes from Hjørring. Starting in the summer of 2027, we will host outdoor castle concerts for up to 2,000 attendees, but we will also organize other outdoor events at the castle at different times of the year.

The riding hall has a capacity of 600 attendees, where we especially plan concerts and cultural events (indoors) during the winter months.

Aalborg Væddeløbsbane

Aalborg Racetrack will become Northern Jutland's largest concert venue. The establishment is in full swing, and we expect to hold the first concert at the venue in the summer of 2027.

The racetrack will initially accommodate up to 30,000 spectators and is perfectly located at the end of the Plusbus line, just a 30-minute walk from the city center. It takes 25 minutes to walk from the nearest train station and under 15 minutes by car from Aalborg Airport. In the long term, the venue will be able to host up to 60,000 spectators.

Gigantium

Right by the motorway lies Aalborg's large sports and cultural center Gigantium. Strong Aalborg Handball and Aalborg Pirates already fill the Main Hall and Ice Arena with sports, but Gigantium needs to be used for concerts and cultural events.

The Main Hall has a capacity of 6,800 seated or 8,500 standing spectators. We expect to hold at least two major events in Gigantium in 2027.

A2 Kulturhus

At Riihimækivej in Aalborg, A2 is home to a gem of a "black box" - Aalborg's best - for concerts, cultural events, and gatherings for up to 750 seated or 1,000 standing.

A2's smaller hall, Small, accommodates about 200 audience members. A2 is located right by Egnsplanvejen and thus the motorway. At A2, we host concerts, cultural events, and gatherings year-round, primarily for a seated audience.

Auktionshallen

Next to A2 is the Auction Hall on Göteborgvej - in the building that was previously part of GASA Aalborg.

The Auction Hall was Northern Jutland's central marketplace for fruits, vegetables, and flowers. The old auction hall has been transformed into a modern cultural house focusing on the interaction between artists and the audience – featuring an impressive full-size painting directly on the back wall.

A completely unique venue with space for 150 audience members, where we have launched, for example, the series Storytellers.

Spritfabrikken

Torvehallerne / Spritfabrikken is a truly special place in Aalborg, where history flows between the walls and settles in the soul. Here we had our first concert in April 2026, and we will be doing many more. Both outdoors and indoors.

This venue is as raw as Voergaard Castle is beautiful. Both the factory's and the castle's structures are old and rich in history, but with two very different backgrounds – the workers and the nobility.

The potential at Spritfabrikken is enormous, and it will be a good lever for the place when Kunsthal Spritten opens in 2027.

DS Arena

Beautifully located in Østerskoven in Hobro at the end of Mariager Fjord lies DS Arena. The stadium for our good partner Hobro IK, with a spectator capacity of 10,700 attendees.

Here, we will eventually host concerts and events together with Hobro's strong business community. DS Arena is beautifully situated, yet conveniently located close to the motorway.

Fun Art Blokhus

Fun Art Blokhus clearly shows how liberatingly unconventional and market-oriented the province can be – for here we must make an extra effort.

Fun Art is a newly built fusion of an art and concert venue and a large family and experience center near Blokhus. The place combines concerts, cultural events, and activities with play, movement, and creativity for all ages, featuring outdoor and indoor activities such as mini-golf, football golf, play areas, trampolines, and street art under the open sky.

The concert hall normally accommodates 900 spectators but can be expanded to hold up to 1,600 spectators. We are very much looking forward to organizing concerts and cultural events in collaboration with Fun Art Blokhus.
