Aalborg Live is born out of a simple observation: North Jutland has enough bricks and cultural institutions, but too little ambitious content.

Other cities and regions attract international artists and large events... North Jutland does not, even though we have venues that can offer something truly special. Aalborg Racecourse, Gigantium, castles, and halls that often stand empty when they could be filled with life.

That is the task Aalborg Live has taken on - to provide citizens with what they actually demand and activate existing venues throughout the region. From intimate concerts and lectures to international artists and large events with thousands of guests.

Aalborg Live is 100% commercially driven, without fixed locations and without public subsidies. This means that we rely on a strong North Jutland business community that believes in the ambition of a richer cultural life in the region. Our partners help make this possible and in return gain visibility, exclusive experiences, and access to a community of businesses that together help shape North Jutland's cultural future.
